Serve the City partners with the City of Chesapeake to provide assistance with emergency home repairs for those in need. When the city receives a referral for services, they contact STC who in turn mobilizes volunteers to assist in the necessary repairs. These projects are typically completed by volunteers with handyman, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, etc… experience. Volunteers are not required to be licensed in these areas, they need only to be sufficient in their skills.
